MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION !TING HELD SEPTEMBER 16, 1985. PAGE 7 <br />1955 DAVID M. WINTON <br />1780 SHORELINE DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:22-8:27 <br />The purpose of this public hearing was to consider the <br />request for a conditional use permit to allow the <br />construction of a guest house on commonly-owned property by <br />the applicant. <br />The certification of mailing and affidavit of publication <br />was noted. <br />Penny Winton was present for this matter and stated they had <br />no problem with the conditions recommended by staff. <br />Commission noted to the applicant the problems of a lot line <br />rearrangement should the guest house parcel be sold off <br />separately in the future. <br />There were no persons present objecting and the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Sime, seconded by Kelley, to recommend <br />approval of the conditional use permit subject to staff's <br />conditions. Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />; <br />#958 VOYAGEUR SERVICE CENTER INC. <br />2420 SHADYWOOD ROAD <br />VARIANCE AND COMMERCIAL SITE PLAN REVIEW <br />PUBLIC HEARING 10:58 - 11:17 <br />Jack Welch, applicant, and Erv Smith, owner, were present for <br />this matter. <br />The certification of mailing and affidavit of publication <br />was noted. <br />Voyageur Service Center proposes to add to the existing <br />building which would require a front and rear setback <br />variance and the proposal involves a mxxed use being a car <br />wash/service station/ convenience store. <br />It was noted that although this is a mixed use, the use is <br />similar and the trend is moving toward this type of use. <br />Jack Welch presented a revised plan and explained his <br />proposal to the Commission. <br />The Commission discussed the issue of increased sewer units <br />that would be needed for this proposal. <br />Senior Building Inspector Jacobs stated in his memo that <br />there are numerous items that were not available for the <br />Planning Commission to review but should bo submitted before <br />this matter is presented before the Council.
