MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 15, 1986 <br />#1067 OLSON CONTINUED <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaff ron noted that the <br />most a f f ected property owner, John & Magda 1 en Pidgeon <br />who reside in Bloomington, were sent a notice of this <br />request and have voiced no cbjections. <br />No one was present from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It. was moved by Taylor, seconded by Goetten, to <br />recommend approval noting staff's recommended findings. <br />Motion, Ayes 61 Nays 0. <br />#1068 DR. GLEN NELSON <br />500 ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:15-8:26 <br />The Af f idavit <br />was noted. <br />of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaff ron explained the <br />request to allow a guest apartment within the principal <br />structure. It was noted that the proposed additions <br />meet all setback requirements. The northwesterly wing <br />addition is to contain kitchen/bath/living room/bedroom <br />connected to house only through garage, has its own <br />separate outside entrance - proposed only for guest <br />apartment use and "staging" area for catered affairs. <br />Representing the applicant, was their architect Dale <br />Mulf inger. He showed the Planning Commission a scale <br />model of the proposed additions. He noted that the <br />apartment will bo used for guests, mother-in-law, and <br />possible live-in employees. The purpose of the <br />additions are to provide more square footage for <br />entertaining. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron noted that there <br />are no hardcover or area problems. He a 1 so noted that <br />the variance would be filed in the chain of title <br />and would not be transferrable to a di f f erer. t owner. <br />No orie wal; present from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Be 1 lows, to <br />recommend approval. per staf f's recommended conditions. <br />Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />5 <br />
