MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 15, 1986 <br />#1066 CARSON CONTINUED <br />Eileen M. Oleen, 1305 North Arm Drive, was present fox - <br />this matter_. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaf f ron explained that <br />Ms. Oleen is concerned about the run-off from the <br />existing garage onto her property. <br />Ms. Oleen noted that applicant's property is almost <br />twice as high as hers and she receives a 11 the run -of f <br />from their property and is opposed to any additional <br />hardcover being allowed creating more run-off onto her <br />property. <br />Chairman Kelley and Goetten recommended drainti le or <br />another alternative to correct the drainage problem. <br />Planning Commission unanimously agreed that the 7.7' <br />setback variance would be no problem with no additional <br />hardcover. <br />No one was present from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Chairman Kelley, seconded by Goetten, to <br />recommend approval of the side setback variance of 7.7' <br />subject to: <br />1) Applicant work with staff to correct drainage <br />problem. <br />2) Remove plastic allowing no additional hardcover. <br />Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br /># 10 6 7 WN10 T T . OLSON <br />3640 BAYSIDE ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:07-8:12 <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />was noted. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />request for a 19.9' side setback variance to construct a <br />kitchen addition noting topography problems as well as <br />the drainage and well location as hardship factors in <br />the location of the proposed addition. <br />Jane Olson <br />was <br />present <br />for this matter and stated <br />that <br />due to <br />the dining <br />room <br />location, and this <br />being <br />a <br />kitchen <br />addition, <br />the location <br />is most practical <br />without <br />having <br />to do <br />extensive <br />interior remodeling. <br />In <br />addition, they <br />would like to take advantage of <br />the <br />lake <br />view. <br />0 <br />
