REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: June 22, 2010 <br />ITEM NO: I <br />Department Approval: Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Name Lyle Oman ,- City Administrator's Report <br />Title Building Official <br />l 1 <br />Item Description: Minnetonka Beach Building Inspections Agreement <br />At their June 15th work session, Council discussed the request from Minnetonka Beach to <br />provide additional zoning inspections as part of the current inspection agreement with Orono. <br />The attached Building Inspections Agreement has been amended to include certain types of <br />zoning inspections including the inspection of building setbacks, inspection of zoning ordinance <br />violations, and assistance of enforcing performance agreements. The Agreement replaces all <br />previous agreements and is effective for one year after approval by the governing bodies of <br />Minnetonka Beach and Orono. The Agreement will be automatically renewed annually unless <br />terminated by either party serving written notice within 60 days of the current contract expiration. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the attached Amended and Restated Building Inspections Agreement with the <br />City of the Village of Minnetonka Beach, effective for one year after approval by the governing <br />bodies of Minnetonka Beach and Orono with automatic renewal annually unless terminated by <br />either parly serving written notice within 60 days of the current contract expiration.
