Weeds, grass, brush, trash and all other combustible materials shall be kept <br /> at least 10 feet from ASTs. <br /> 12. ASTs shall have a minimum separation of 3 feet between tanks. <br /> 13. ASTs shall be labeled to identify the contents of each tank. <br /> 14. ASTs require nominal and emergency vents. The normal vent shall terminate <br /> a minimum of 12 feet above the ground level and 5 feet from building openings <br /> and property lines that can be built upon. <br /> 15. Electrical equipment shall be installed in accordance with the Minnesota <br /> Electrical Code. <br /> 16. Not more than three (3)ASTs shall be used for dispensing at any single <br /> dispensing site. ASTs shall not exceed 6,000 gallons individual capacity for <br /> Class I liquids (gasoline) and 10,000 gallons individual capacity for Class II <br /> liquids (diesel). 12,000 gal. capacities are allowed for 2-hour protected ASTs. <br /> 17. ASTs, other than 2-hour protected ASTs shall be separated from dispensers <br /> by at least 30 feet. (see exceptions) <br /> Exceptions: <br /> 1. Operations NOT open to the public and for resort operations <br /> serving registered guests only, dispensing of Class I liquids from one AST <br /> of 560 gallon capacity or less may have the dispenser located on top of <br /> adjacent to the AST. <br /> 2. Operations NOT open to the public and for resort operations serving <br /> registered guests only, dispensing of Class It liquids from two ASTs of <br /> 1,000 gallons individual capacity or less may have the dispenser located <br /> on top or adjacent to the AST. <br /> 18. ASTs shall be located not less than 50 ft. from nearest side of a public way, <br /> property line, building or combustible storage located on the same property. 2- <br /> hour protected ASTs may reduce separation distances. (see MUFC Appx. II-F) <br /> Exception: <br /> 1. ASTs which are separated by 30 feet or more from the dispenser may <br /> reduce the distance between the AST and the public way, property line, <br /> building or combustible storage to 30 feet. <br /> 19. Fuel delivery shall be from the top of the AST with the dispensing line <br /> equipped with an approved antisyphon system. <br />
