DICKEY - BENCHES - PRAIRIE PLANTS <br /> Wilson reported needs far the park next year. Erickson suggested the name of the <br /> park be a high priority for the spring. Erickson, McDermott and Ilse form the <br /> committee that will make a recommendation for any improvements at Dickey, such <br /> as benches and plantin.�s. McDermott informed Erickson that a survev is available, <br /> noting there are green posts with white tops that mark all corners. <br /> E. FRENCH CREEK - MOWING- KIOSK <br /> Wilson informed Gappa that mowing was ne�ded in French Creek Preserve. <br /> Gappa indicated his concern for mowing sumac which leaves sharp edges. He <br /> suggested the sumac be dug out. Wilson thought it was easier to walk through the <br /> sumac than the hi�h erass. McDermott said the sumac can be eliminated after <br /> mowing. Wilson said she would do the spraying to eliminate the sumac if the <br /> mowing was done. Wilson noted where mowing should occur. She said trails <br /> could also meander through the sumac. <br /> Wilson reported that a path was mowed through the prairie but thought it had been <br /> done by neighbors. She said she would call a neighbor and discuss it with them. <br /> Wilson informed Gappa of a dead tree by the kiosk and asked Gappa to take care <br /> of it. She indicated that the ta11 blue stem grass in the prairie area looks good and <br /> may need burning next year. She asked that it be placed on the schedule. Wilson <br /> told McDermott that the Commission had the grass planted and have an agreement <br /> for future burning if necessary. <br /> F. HACKBERRY - BACK STOP <br /> Gappa reported that he has not had the time to fix the back stop. Wilson said it <br /> could be done in the spring. <br /> 8 <br />
