RE-ROOFING OVER SHAKE <br /> PROCEDURE No. 10 # <br /> i <br /> INSTALLING VALLEY AND HIP CUT SECTIONS OF GERARD PANELS <br /> �1 <br /> DRILL FOR"POP"RNETS OR / <br /> METAL SCREWS / MW TURNED UP ABANIST NN'WM <br /> CUT AND BEND <br /> PURPOSE <br /> To provide weather security at the valley <br /> SEALANT j and hip areas. <br /> A IMPORTANT NOTE A <br /> Due to the half <br /> panel stagger on the <br /> Gerard shake panel it may be necessary <br /> to cut, bend, and fit small triangular <br /> k sections to some courses intersecting <br /> with the hip or valley. <br /> These small sections may be secured to <br /> the full shake panel by first running a <br /> bead of sealant down the vertical side <br /> HIP INSTALLATION lap,then using pop rivets or sheet metal <br /> screws to hold them in place.
