A small access drive has been included to the north of the building,which will <br /> allow for vehicles to access the back of house functions for small deliveries, <br /> and access to the service area and mechanical space.This access route will <br /> be screened with landscaping to shield this area from entrance views. <br /> The existing fire circle just south of the building will also contain an accessible <br /> route to this building. <br /> Program Cabins <br /> Both Program Cabins are situated to the southwest corner of the site.This <br /> location will provide partial lake views,while still allowing for shade from the <br /> existing surrounding trees.The cabin to the north, the Program Cabin on the <br /> Hill will be located to outside of the nearby structure setbacks. Its main <br /> entrance and front porch are oriented to the south,where an accessible <br /> gravel path will connect back into the main circulation spine. <br /> The Program Cabin in the Woods will be located just south of the Program <br /> Cabin on the Hill and the common lawn for the two buildings. An accessible <br /> gravel path will connect from this area to the central porch of this set of <br /> cabins.The southern half of these buildings will be constructed on piers so that <br /> it resembles a treehouse.This also allows for site grading to be minimal. <br /> Waterfront Improvements <br /> The Lake Minnetonka waterfront at Camp TEKO currently contains two <br /> program areas; one for swimming and one for boating. A small, overgrown <br /> trail along the shoreline connects both of these areas. <br /> The design team has proposed to recreate this pedestrian trail by <br /> reconditioning the dirt route and clearing out buckthorn overgrowth.The <br /> existing primary beach will also be enlarged by removing this invasive species. <br /> Changing Rooms <br /> Changing Rooms will be provided just north of the primary beach to provide <br /> changing spaces for beach users and storage space near the program pods. <br /> Because of the steep slopes in this area, this building will be constructed on <br /> piers to minimize grading and site impact. However, the site bluff analysis has <br /> identified that this building's location will result in the need for a variance in <br /> order to be approved for construction. <br /> Temple Israel intends to begin design development and construction of Phase I <br /> projects as soon as funding is secured. However, there is always the possibility that <br /> these projects could take 2-3 years to fund and complete. <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br />
