A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO <br />EMPLOYEE RON STEFFENHAGEN <br />FOR HIS FORTY THREE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />WHEREAS, Ron Steffenhagen was appointed to the Golf Course Superintendent <br />position March 18, 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, Ron Steffenhagen is retiring after 43 years of expertly overseeing all <br />aspects of the golf course including maintaining the grounds, landscaping, and open spaces; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Ron Steffenhagen has for 20 years of the 43 years also diligently and <br />effectively managed the golf course clubhouse displaying outstanding leadership skills in the <br />direction and management of all seasonal maintenance, seasonal service employees and <br />volunteers creating a safe, productive and customer focused environment; and <br />WHEREAS, Ron Steffenhagen has displayed ingenuity and vision in various <br />improvements to the golf course including automated irrigations, drainage improvements, <br />and clubhouse renovations resulting in an improved experience for the citizens of Orono; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Ron Steffenhagen's 43 years of service have been characterized by <br />his dedication to providing the highest quality service to the city and its citizens; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council, staff <br />and residents wish to extend their utmost appreciation and gratitude to Ron Steffenhagen <br />for his leadership and service to the community as the Golf Course Superintendent. <br />FURTHER LET IT BE RESOLVED that in light of his life time of dedication to <br />the golf course that the City hereby bestows upon him a lifetime membership at the Orono <br />Golf Course. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this <br />1 11h day of December 2017. <br />ATTEST: <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk Denis Walsh, Mayor <br />
