Within 20 feet of outside comers, space nails in each row 12 inches <br /> on center along each row. <br /> C. Comply with other applicable recommendation of Factory Mutual Loss <br /> Prevention Data 1-49. <br /> ' L <br /> 3.06 APPLICATION OF ROOF SHINGLES <br /> E <br /> A. Install new Inorganic Fiberglass Shingles in shingle fashion and <br /> placed to ensure that water will flow over or parallel to but never against <br /> shingles. <br /> B. An underlayment consisting of a Ice and Water Shield at the base of the <br /> roof two feet up. Apply when roof surface is dry and dew has left the <br /> ' roof. <br /> C. Apply 15 Ib base felt parallel to the eaves lapping each course of the felt <br /> ' over the lower course at least 2" and where ends join, lap the felt at least <br /> 4". <br /> D. Apply the felt and shingles on the same day. Do Not apply Base <br /> Felts and leave exposed to the weather. <br /> ' E. Fasten the shingles with standard type roofing nails (Staples not allowed) <br /> Nails should be 11 or 12 gauge wire. Heads should be 3/8" to 7/16" in <br /> diameter. <br /> F. Drive nail head flush with shingle surface. <br /> G. Install R-61 roof vents daily. Five vents will be installed on long roof section <br /> and three on short. <br /> ' H. Apply Fiberglass Shingle as per Manufacturer Specification. <br /> ' 32 <br />
