' PROTECTION ' SP-15 The Contractor shall provide for and be responsible for protection of existing structure not scheduled to be removed. All existing materials, surfaces and construction to remain which are not affected by the work shall be repaired, or replaced, to the original ' constructions. Provide all protective materials and methods as required to protect the existing building and ' adjacent surfaces, features and property. The Contractor is responsible for any damage, including from water or flying debris, resulting from work under this contract. Precautions shall be taken to protect the building grounds from damage due to necessary construction traffic. ' REPAIR OF EXISTING PROPERTY ' SP-16 The Contractor shall be responsible for patching of existing membrane, not scheduled for replacement or alteration, which is damaged during any sequence of the removal, or reroofing work. The Contractor is also responsible for any water damage to ' existing insulation and building interior finishes, furniture, equipment and work in progress that may result from damage to the existing roof membrane due to inadequate repair work. ' TRADE STANDARDS AND WORKMANSHIP SP-17 Workmanship shall be first class. In case of dispute and in the absence of any definite criteria or specification for work required under this contract, the association, institute or similar organization of the trade or material involved shall be guiding authority. ERECTION OF SIGNS AND-BARRICADES SP-18 The Contractor shall erect the necessary signs and barricades to insure the safety of all personnel, and general public. These signs shall be in compliance with OSHA Standards ' and shall be installed immediately upon commencement of work.
