' PROTECTION <br /> ' SP-15 The Contractor shall provide for and be responsible for protection of existing <br /> structure not scheduled to be removed. All existing materials, surfaces and construction to <br /> remain which are not affected by the work shall be repaired, or replaced, to the original <br /> ' constructions. <br /> Provide all protective materials and methods as required to protect the existing building and <br /> ' adjacent surfaces, features and property. The Contractor is responsible for any damage, <br /> including from water or flying debris, resulting from work under this contract. <br /> Precautions shall be taken to protect the building grounds from damage due to necessary <br /> construction traffic. <br /> ' REPAIR OF EXISTING PROPERTY <br /> ' SP-16 The Contractor shall be responsible for patching of existing membrane, not <br /> scheduled for replacement or alteration, which is damaged during any sequence of the <br /> removal, or reroofing work. The Contractor is also responsible for any water damage to <br /> ' existing insulation and building interior finishes, furniture, equipment and work in progress <br /> that may result from damage to the existing roof membrane due to inadequate repair work. <br /> ' TRADE STANDARDS AND WORKMANSHIP <br /> SP-17 Workmanship shall be first class. In case of dispute and in the absence of any <br /> definite criteria or specification for work required under this contract, the association, <br /> institute or similar organization of the trade or material involved shall be guiding authority. <br /> ERECTION OF SIGNS AND-BARRICADES <br /> SP-18 The Contractor shall erect the necessary signs and barricades to insure the safety of <br /> all personnel, and general public. These signs shall be in compliance with OSHA Standards <br /> ' and shall be installed immediately upon commencement of work. <br /> ' CONTRACT DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> SP-19 The Contractor shall check all documents furnished him immediately upon their <br /> receipt and shall Promptly inform the Project Manager of any omissions or discrepancies <br /> from the following list: <br /> 20 <br />
