' SITE ACCESS AND AVAILABILITY <br /> SP-12 The project site will be made available to the Contractor upon receipt of the Owner's <br /> written notice to proceed. Care, custody and control of the site work area, equipment area <br /> and material storage areas are the sole responsibility of the Contractor during the term of <br /> ' operation. <br /> Failure to examine the project building and site and to become familiar with the <br /> ' existing conditions shall not constitute cause for complaint or claim for extra <br /> payment. Accept project site as it exists. <br /> ' Means of ingress or egress to the building shall not be blocked for any reason or hamper <br /> the normal operation of the building in any way unless permission is first obtained from the <br /> Owner. Fire protection and inundate access for fire fighting equipment must be maintained <br /> ' at all times. <br /> Equipment and material storage areas are limited to those designated. Fencing of ground <br /> ' work areas may be required to keep unauthorized personnel out of the area. <br /> INSPECTION OF SITE OR BUILDING <br /> SP-13 It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to ascertain possible conditions at each site, <br /> ' including such things as existing building material and components, etceteras, before <br /> finalizing work orders. <br /> TRASH REMOVAL <br /> SP-14 The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the removal of construction related <br /> trash. <br /> ' All material to be disposed of shall be loaded directly into trucks or other suitable storage <br /> containers by means of chutes or other methods that will prevent damage to existing, or <br /> new surfaces and to control pollution. <br /> No accumulation of materials to be disposed will be permitted at any time. The Contractor <br /> is responsible for prompt removal from the site and disposal in a manner approved by local <br /> authorities. The Contractor is solely responsible for disposal of material to approved State <br /> ' land fills. <br /> ' 19 <br />
