' C. TAKE ALL OTHER PROPER PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THE SAFETY <br /> AND HEALTH OF THE CONTRACTOR'S EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC. <br /> ' D. In addition to the foregoing, the Contractor shall coordinate his use of the <br /> premises with the manager or other representative designated by the Project <br /> Manager. Subjects of this coordination shall include: <br /> 1. The designation of work and storage areas. <br /> 2. The furnishing by Contractor of appropriate signs and <br /> barricades to exclude unauthorized personnel from the <br /> ' work area and to call attention to hazards and dangers. <br /> 3. Other matters relating to the protection of property, <br /> ' customers and the general public. <br /> ' PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE <br /> SP-6 Before commencing work under this contract, a meeting will be held with the <br /> Contractor and his prime subcontractors, and representative of the Temple Israel and the <br /> Project Manager, to discuss the contractual procedure, safety regulations, work <br /> procedures, and so forth to be used to accomplish the work requested. The meeting will be <br /> held at the job site. <br /> SCHEDULING WORK <br /> SP-7 Before any of the work is started, the Contractor shall confer with the Project <br /> Manager and Temple Israel and agree on a sequence of procedure; means of access to <br /> premises and building , delivery of material, and use of approaches; use of corridors, <br /> stairways, elevators and storage of materials. Contractor shall inform Project Manager <br /> ' when all roof removal will be completed to allow for him to be present. <br /> Contractor shall abide by times established by Temple Israel <br /> PROTECTION AND DAMAGE <br /> SP-8 The Contractor will: <br /> A. Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary for protection of <br /> personnel, furnishings, equipment, or building structure from damage. <br /> Remove and replace movable items, if necessary. Replace or repair any <br /> items damaged, due to work performed under this contract, equal to their <br /> present construction and finish. <br /> ' 17 <br />
