OWNER <br /> ' The owner referred to in Article 3 of the General Conditions is Temple Israel. <br /> In addition, Article 3.2.2 is amended to delete the requirement that Temple Israel <br /> ' provide a legal description of the site. <br /> ' 5. MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT <br /> Article 2 of the General Conditions is supplemented as follows: <br /> ' Makes and Models of items which the Contractor alleges to be equal to the makes <br /> and models of items named in the Specification, shall be subject to written approval <br /> ' by the Project Manager. The use of substitute items will not be permitted without the <br /> approval of Temple Israel and the Project Manager. The Contractor shall not be <br /> relieved from the responsibility of furnishing articles or materials equal in quality, <br /> ' specified by the Project Manager. The Project Manager's approval or rejection of a <br /> proposed substitute may be based on any of the previous considerations, and his <br /> decision, which may or may not express reasons to the Contractor, not a <br /> Subcontractor. The material or equipment shall be sufficiently described to enable <br /> the Project Manager to easily identify the salient features. Requests shall be made <br /> at least 10 days prior to bid opening date. <br /> ' 6. PERMITS LICENSES AND FEES <br /> ' Article 4.7 of the General Conditions is supplemented as follows: <br /> The contractor shall secure and pay for all permits in accordance with the City and <br /> ' State Codes. Where an inspection and/or certificate is required by the Code, to be <br /> paid for by a fee, the Contractor shall include such fees in their Bid and in the <br /> Contract. <br /> ' 7. CHANGES IN THE WORK <br /> In Article 12 of the General Conditions of the Contract and throughout the Contract <br /> Documents whenever the term "Change Order" is used, substitute the term "Supple- <br /> mental Agreement". <br /> Substitute the following for Article 12.1.3 of the General Conditions of the Contract. <br /> The value of such additional, omitted or changed work shall be determined in either <br /> ' or both of the ways described hereinafter. <br /> A. By unit price contained in the Contractor's original bid and <br /> ' incorporated in the construction contract. <br /> 10 <br />
