Doesn't seem like much of a financial burden to anyone in order to provide an essential service to our
homes but I can't speak for them. However, if I lived in a 2 Million dollar home I don't think I'd have a
problem with $17.81 a year so that my fellow citizens could get the best possible fire service to
protect their family and home.
I am sure the City Council can find other areas to cut the budget if that Is the main concern. I hope
thy don't truly believe putting their citizens prop" and their families in danger is the one and only
way they can reduce spending.
Thank you for reading my letter aloud as I would have been there in person with a little more notice. We were
unable to rearrange codsting plans for this evening. I am extremely concerned about this issue and feel like our
.!-- ' I.—,& MILO I ,
neighborhoods should be provided with more information in a =,'d1,7----G-Vw%R- .0j..gisfinalizedto
make the switch. We have had no formal connnunication ftom the City rejAing this issue giving us zero time
to have our concerns addressed,
Sincerely,
Katie Simpson
142 Chevy Chase Drive
2
