Not much time to get our <br />neighborhoods organized and ready to provide feedback. <br />Fire service Is an essential service to anyone in their own community. Living here as long as we have, there is an <br />established rapport with the Wayzata Fire Department in our neighborhood. They know WHO we are and WHERE we <br />live. Not a single complaint in our 23 years at 90 Ferndale Green. We see not one reason to change this service just <br />because someone thinks It might save Orono a few dollars. SOMEONES LIFE IS NOT WORTH A FEW DOLLARSI <br />Also, kno%ving that we have been the last street in Orono to see a snow plow for the last 20 plus years, does rwt make <br />me feel confident in any way about long lake fire service. <br />In addition, with all the ongoing construction of the highway 12 corridor there is no way that our neighborhoods can be <br />well served by long lake fire, simply not possible. These delays In response are spin, NOT WORTH ALIFEI IF nothing else <br />leave this subject alone for two years until the construction period is over. Common sense, people] <br />Why.this is even a discussion is beyond my comprehension. All is good here, just leave It the way it is. <br />We strongly oppose the idea of changing this essential service from Wayzata Fire, to Long Lake ....... <br />Georganne Scherer <br />
