Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with the disposal of firearms. <br />2. Background. Over the last several years the police department has acquired several guns by various <br />means. Some have been turned in for disposal, some have been taken during search warrants and others <br />have been seized when used illegally. Orono Public Works will assist us by cutting up the weapons that <br />will be destroyed. <br />3. Project Scope. Destroy the following firearms: <br />17-003019 - New Haven Model 2500, .22, SN# 22SI VLLR <br />17-005079 - Starter pistol, American DBL Action Started Pistol, No SN <br />17-005089 - Stevens Crackshot 26 revolver, .22 caliber, no SN <br />17-009643 - Stevens Model 940.410 ga, no SN <br />15-013243 - Hi -Point, 380 cal, Model CF -380, SN 8086539 <br />4. Staff Recommendation.
