PART 1 DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> Nelson Orangery 9415.00 <br /> October 3, 1994 2 <br /> 3. Distribute copies of reviewed submittals to concerned persons. Instruct recipients to <br /> promptly report any inability to comply with provisions. <br /> B. SUBMITTALS REQUIRED BY THE GENERAL CONDITIONS. <br /> 1. All required submittals shall be submitted within ten (10)days of the execution of the <br /> Owner/Contractor Agreement. <br /> C. SCHEDULE OF VALUES <br /> 1. Submit a Schedule of Values to the Architect within seven (7)days of the bid acceptance. <br /> The Schedule of Values shall break down portions of the Work that have a value of 15% <br /> or more of the total. <br /> D. SUBCONTRACTORS and SUPPLIERS LIST <br /> 1. Submit this list within seven(7)days of the bid acceptance. <br /> 2. This list shall be a complete list of all Subcontractors and major suppliers and shall include <br /> their telephone numbers and mailing addresses. <br /> E. WARRANTIES, OPERATION MANUALS AND.MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES <br /> 1. The Contractor shall submit to the Architect upon substantial completion copies of <br /> warranties for materials and work that are contained in the Work,operation manuals and <br /> maintenance schedules for equipment and appliances that are installed in the Work, and a <br /> list of relevant Subcontractors. <br /> 01410. FIELD OBSERVATIONS <br /> A. The Contractor shall notify the Architect for field observations at the following times: <br /> 1. After the footings are formed but before they are poured. <br /> 2. During all soil compaction procedures. <br /> 3. Just before the concrete floor slab is to be poured. <br /> 4. After rough framing is complete. <br /> S. After plumbing, electrical, and mechanical rough-in work is completed. <br /> 6. After the vapor barrier is complete but before installation of gypsum wallboard. <br /> 7. At substantial completion. <br /> 01510. PROJECT CLEAN UP <br /> A. PROJECT CLEAN UP DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> 1. The Contractor will provide daily on-site cleanup and will provide for the removal of all <br /> construction debris. <br /> 2. Subcontractors are to remove their construction debris as their work progresses. They <br /> must leave their portion of the job broom-clean at finish of their work(broom sweep each <br /> day). <br /> B. FINAL CLEANUP <br /> 1. The Contractor shall wash all new windows, inside and out, at the completion of the job. <br /> C. PROJECT CLEAN UP AFTER SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION <br /> 1. Once the project has been completed and occupied by the Owner,the Contractor and <br /> Subcontractors are responsible for protecting and covering where necessary all <br /> furnishings, artwork, and other belongings of the Owner in areas where additional or <br /> corrective work is being performed. <br /> 2. The Contractor and Subcontractors are to thoroughly clean up those areas affected by <br /> debris and dust resulting from any additional or corrective work. <br /> 01600. SPECIAL REMODELING REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. INTERIOR <br /> 1. The Contractor shall erect and maintain dust-proof barriers between remodeled areas and <br /> the adjoining spaces throughout the course of the Work. (These barriers must be <br /> insulated as required in the winter months.) <br />
