All structural steel work shall conform to the American Institute of Steel Construction <br /> (AISC) "Specification for the Design, Fabrication and Erection of the Structural Steel for <br /> Buildings,"latest edition, and the American Welding Society(AWS) D1.1 "Structural <br /> Welding Code," latest edition. . <br /> B. MATERIALS <br /> 1. Structural steel shall conform to ASTM--A36, latest revision. <br /> 2. Steel tubing shall conform to ASTM—A500, latest revision. <br /> 3. Bolts shall conform to ASTM—A325, latest revision. All bolts to be 3/4"diameter unless <br /> otherwise specified. <br /> 4. Clean all materials thoroughly and shop-apply one coat of Rust-Oleum#769 Primer or <br /> approved equal <br /> S. Non-Shrink Grout: See Section 3300,Article C, Item 2. <br /> C. EXECUTION <br /> 1. Make provision for enaction bads and for sufficient temporary bracing to maintain that the <br /> structure is safe, plumb, and in true alignment until completion of erection and installation <br /> of permanent bracing. <br /> 2. Do not field cwt or after structural members without approval of the Architect/Engineer. <br /> 3. After erection,prime all welds, abrasions,and any surfaces not shop-primed, except for <br /> surfaces to be in contact with concrete;use primer compatible with the shop coat. <br /> 4. Furnish complete Shop Drawings for all work, according to provisions in Section 00160. <br />
