Mortar Joints: Lay all brick masonry units as unifomrdy as possible with solid mortar pints of <br /> width to match-existing. While setting mortar is still damp,compact firmly as required. <br /> Strike off pints to provide a joint to match existing. <br /> 4. Install brick ties at a maximum of 24"O.C.so that there is(1)tie for every 2 213 sq.ft.of wall <br /> area. Install weep holes at 24"O.C. maximum and maintain them and all of the cavity <br /> above the flashing free from mortar droppings and debris. <br /> S. All brick work must be protected from rain during construction. Cover the work at the <br /> close of each day. <br /> 6. Fabricate a 4 ft.x 4 ft.test panel showing brick patterns,color mixes,and mortar colors and <br /> joint treatments for the Owner's approval. <br /> 04400. CUT STONE <br /> A. STANDARDS <br /> 1. Install all stone according to the recommendations of the Marble Institute of America. <br /> B. MATERIALS <br /> 1. Stone: 1"thick to match existing stone caps(New York Bluestone). <br /> 2. Mortar: To be Portland Cement Lime Mortar Type S,color to be approved by the <br /> Architect. <br />
