BRICK PAVING <br /> A. STANDARDS <br /> 1. All work and materials shall conform to the recommended practices of the Brick Institute of <br /> America. <br /> B. MATERIALS <br /> 1. Brick Pavers: To be match brick pavers at front of house (Belden 650). Brick shall <br /> conform to ASTM C902, Class SX,Type 1. <br /> 2. M4rta[: Type M,color to be approved by the Architect. <br /> 3. E6=: concrete slab. <br /> 4. G=: Same mix as mortar,less the hydrated lime. <br /> 5. Expansion Joints: Preformed, Type S, dosed-cell neoprene. <br /> C. EXECUTION <br /> 1. Install brick pavers in a herringbone pattern,on a full mortar setting bed. (See Drawings <br /> for locations.) <br /> 2. Install expansion joints in the following areas: Parallel or adjacent to curbs or edging, at 90 <br /> degree turns,around interruptions,or at the junction of dissimilar materials. <br /> 3. Mortar joints shall have same width as brick pavers at front of house. Tool joints with a <br /> concave jointer when mortar becomes thumbprint hard. <br />
