Orono man jailed five days for junky yard I Full Disclosure I StarTribune.com#commentH... Page 5 of 7
tactic or term often used referred to as"plausible deniability"in which the chain of command
denies knowledge of and/or responsibility for any damageable actions committed by the lower
ranks because of a lack of evidence that can confirm their participation even if personally involved
or at least willfully ignorant.
The individual's responsible for James Barth sitting in jail are sleeping well tonight with little or no
thought of their action or in actions that were directly responsible for sending someone to jail over
ladders and firewood.I'm sure if you ask 100 people if jail time was warranted in this case, you
would get the response"are you kidding me"95 percent of the time. The other 5 percent are most
likely Sociopaths, lawyers or both. So,once again how did we get here?
When did the city of Orono decide that Tyranny was ok,that cruel and unusually punishment was
ok,or is it a new Orwellian city creed they are now rolling into place.A creed that demands
obedience of its subjects or suffer it criminal consequences especially is you don't have the
means to defend yourself.
Months from now after the media buzz and court hearings die down and the city and lawyers can
step back to reflect on what has just happened in this microcosm of society. If they have a
conscious, what will their first questions be to themselves. What could I've done differently, did my
ego and the sense of power override my moral compass, was I overzealous in my prosecution
and too eager to inflict damage on others, was my sense of self-worth solely based on my position
in life, has my eagerness to please my peers lead me down the wrong path,I'm I morally
misguided in this and other actions in life.
Well that's what any person would ask of themselves if responsible for sending someone to jail
over ladders and firewood. So the next time you look into the mirror and your thoughts wonder,I
hope you remember what your everyday actions and inaction resulted in.
And years from now when your elected positions are a distant memory or your employment with
the city has been abruptly terminated and pursue your careers as lawyers,Grief counselor, gift
shop suppliers, silver spoon trust fund babies or whatever you do in your private life's.Let your
thought and actions from that day forward be for the betterment of society and not part of the
problem.
James Barth will be out of jail in 5 days assuredly more Bitter and angry, along with his family and
close friends and new ones that are made aware of his case every day. When the day comes
when the name James Barth is a side note in your past.Rest assured,We will not forget your roles
great or small or what you tried to accomplish here, using your elected and hired power to destroy
another human being for ladders and firewood. Rest assured we will not forget your names, they
are craved into our memories.
7 Like Reply
canuck99 Jul.22,14
1 would guess the main reason he is in jail is because he missed a court date.'Ab;4m
argue he shouldn't have been in front of a judge in the first place and I might agree with
you.But don't mess with a judge. They will put you in jail.
20 0 Like Reply
indastix Jul.22,14
Did you read the part where the judge said, that this is not just about ladders aA33 PM
firewood?Well obviously not because you brought it up enough in your rant.Would you
want this garbage collector to be your neighbor when you're trying to make a profit on
the house that you're about to sell to get away from guy's like him?You see everyone
has some kind of expectation and I don't have any problem with a neighbor expecting
that I don't turn my neighberhood into one giant junk yard.Boohoo....the guy doesn't
have money for enough lawyers but apparently he's got enough money to buy more
junk to add to the pile already there.Nope don't feel sorry for him at all.
12 0 Like Reply
suefranpat Jul.22,14
@indastix My impression is that @jeff7181west is James Barth's broN&PM
Jeff,one of the triplets.
