If you don't like the ordinance, then move out in t4iWRy
where junk in the yards is accepted. City's ordinances are a compromise for all and the guy had
plenty of time to cleanup the junk. I'm sure this won't be the end it.
21 Like Reply
jeff7181west Jul.22,14
559 PM
Not junk, and not visible to anyone!
If a tree falls in the woods and nobody heard it,did it make a noise?
1 Like Reply
mje990 Jul.22,14
1 wouldn't want to live next to that. James Barth
should of never been prosecuted in the first place,we can argue what city ordinance he
supposedly violated and how ladders and firewood and a bike leaning up against his garage was a
violation to his secret probation and why he plead guilty to his first court date, assuming they
would just stop trespassing and harassing perhaps. The simple fact remains,at no time did
anyone at the city stop from their overzealous, systematic and unjust asinine trespassing safari
and inform him of his right to file an appeal with the city zoning board that oversees ordinance
enforcement,if this would of been done James Barth homeowner could of spent thousands of his
hard working dollars to hire his own slew of lawyers to counter the city's lawyers, thus is the
American justice system for people with money which he has not.So let's by all means destroy
your homeowner financially and emotionally.
To the city employees, yes I must remind them that they work for us and the hired slew of lawyers
that the city uses to speak for them are also our employees. When was James Barth's rights as a
property owner every considered,I'm sure your lawyers as they whisper in your ears will guide you
in the correct answer before they cash their next Orono paycheck. When did the city of Orono
mayor and council decide it was OK for Lawyers to speak for them,I must of missed that day in
civic Gass.
The city lawyers and code enforcement employees involved in this will most assuredly and
inevitable state that they were"just doing their jobs","just following the law"and then proceed to
incoherently lecture you on their interpretation of some law or code, missing the point that's as
clear as the nose on their faces or use diversion to place the blame onto the homeowner by
controlling the authoritarian propaganda in nice little sound bites or quotes in the news.Another
http://www.startribune.com/local/blogs/267982061.html 7/29/2014
