SECTION 16120 � <br /> BOXES AND FITTINGS � <br /> 1.00 GENERAL <br /> A. All boxes and fittings shall be standard electrical type manufactured for the ' <br /> electrical industry by recognized manufactures, in accordance with the latest <br /> edition of the National Electric Code (NEC) and industry standards. i <br /> B. Boxes and fittings shall be of the same material as the conduit system, i.e. EMT <br /> shall use steel, PVC shall use plastic, etc. ' <br /> C. All boxes shall be concealed within the building construction unless specifically , <br /> shown or noted otherwise. Boxes or rings shall be installed flush with the <br /> finished wall. Mud rings with rounded corners shall be used in sheetrock walls. <br /> Tile rings with square corners shall be used in masonry, concrete or tile ' <br /> construction. Boxes used in suspended ceiling systems shall be clipped to the <br /> ; ceiling suspension wires or supported from the ceiling grid system. <br /> � ,� D. Specified mounting heights shall be to the center of the device, unless specifically <br /> � noted otherwise. These heights may be adjusted to align with Architectural <br /> details or masonry joints. Adjust all similar outlets to the same height. ' <br /> ' E. Provide knockout closures and blank covers clearly identified with circuit <br /> numbers as specified in Section 16050. , <br /> F. All boxes installed in any fire rated wall shall contain a UL listing for fire rated ' <br /> wall installation. <br /> ; G. All boxes that penetrate vapor barriers or air baniers shall be sealed to prevent air <br /> ' leakage. Seal at box penetration and seal all openings within box, including , <br /> � openings containing conductors. <br /> I '' H.
