DIVISION 02 Section 02900 - Landscaping � <br /> 3.05 SEEDING � <br /> A. Verify that prepared soil base is ready to receive seeding. If weeds, turf or other vegetation <br /> exist, clear site with a Glyphosate herbicide such as Round-up. Allow a minimum of 7 days � <br /> after application before resuming seeding operations. <br /> B.Beginning of installation means acceptance of existing site conditions. � <br /> C.Rake and level topsoil to eliminate rough,low,or soft areas,and to ensure positive drainage. <br /> D.Apply fertilizer in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. � <br /> E.Do not apply fertilizer at same time or with same machine as will be used to apply seed. <br /> F. Mix thoroughly into upper 4 inches of topsoil. � <br /> G.Lawn Seeding dates: � <br /> Spring: Apri130 to June 15. <br /> Fall: August 20 to September 15(prefened). <br /> H.Seed within 72 hours after tinal grading. � <br /> I. Mulch seeded areas with clean mulch. <br /> J.Water as necessary to promote gernunation. � <br /> K. Any plant material installed during typical off seasons (hot summer months or freezing <br /> winter months) shall be done at the Contractor's own risk and the Contractor shall replace � <br /> any plant material damaged due to these adverse conditions at no chazge to Owner. <br /> 3.07 PLANTING OPERATIONS � <br /> A.General: <br /> 1.The Contractor shall coordinate all aspects of the landscape operations with all aspects of i <br /> the site construction. The Work shall proceed as the indicated portions of the site <br /> become available, consistent with the seasonal limitations for landscape planting. <br /> 2.The Contractor shall be responsible for the damage to utilities construction,and sitework ' <br /> construction and shail bear the full cost to repair the damage. Accomplishment of <br /> repairs ahall be equal to the original installation prior to damage. Any damage shall be � <br /> immediately reported ta the Owner and repairs shall be approved by Owner before it is <br /> buried. <br /> 3. The Contractor shall stake azeas to be seeded and sodded and other planting areas and � <br /> secure the Owner's approval before starting excavation of same, making adjustments as <br /> necessary. Maintain all trench or grade stakes for work under other Sections for one <br /> month after construction � <br /> 3.09 MAIN'TENANCE <br /> A.Maintain sodded and seeded areas immediately after placement or until grass is well , <br /> established and exhibits a vigorous growing condition.
