� DIVISION 02 Section 02900 - Landscaping <br /> B.Coordinate initial mowings of new sod with Owner. <br /> � C. Water sod when required and in sufficient quantities to prevent grass and underlying <br /> soil from drying out. <br /> ' D. Roll sod when required to remove minor depressions or irregularities. <br /> E. Control growth of weeds in sod. When using herbicides, apply in accordance with <br /> � manufacturer's instructions. Remedy damage resulting from negligent or improper use <br /> of herbicides. <br /> � F. Immediately repair or replace any sodded or seeded areas which show deterioration or <br /> bare spots. <br /> ' G.Protect sodded and seeded areas with warning signs during maintenance period. <br /> 3.10 INSPECTION FOR ACCEPTANCE <br /> ' A. Inspection of the landscaping work to determine completion of contract work, <br /> exclusive of the possible replacement of plants, will be made by the Owner and the <br /> Architect at the substantial completion. <br /> , B.Acceptance:After inspection,the Contractor will be notified in writing of acceptance of <br /> all work of this Section, exclusive of the possible replacement of plants subject to <br /> reinspection and guazantee, or if there are any deficiencies of the requirements for <br /> � completion of the work. <br /> C. Upon acceptance made by the �wner, the Contractor maintenance is ternunated and <br /> � the guazantee period begins. <br /> 3.11 GUARANTEE AND REPLACEMENT/FINAL ACCEPTANCE <br /> ' A.The guarantee is for a period of one year from date of acceptance by the Owner. <br /> B. At the end of the guazantee period, the Architect and Owner will reinspect all guaranteed <br /> ' work for Final Acceptance upon written request of Contractor. Request shall be received at <br /> least 10 calendar days before anticipated date for final inspection. <br /> ' C. Upon final inspection and reinspection of replacements or repairs necessary in judgment of <br /> the Owner. <br /> D. Weather conditions permitting the Contractor shall replace, without cost to Owner, and <br /> � within specified planting period, all dead plants, sod and seeding not in vigorous, thriving <br /> condition. Replacement shall closely match adjacent specimens of same species and shall be <br /> equal in size to previously planted specimens,including increased growth since planting. <br /> tE. If replacement plant material is not acceptable at end of a two-month period following <br /> replacement,Owner may elect subsequent replacement or credit for each item. <br /> � F. Contractor shall receive final payment only after all replacements have been made and <br /> approved. <br /> , C.
