Remove all obsolete and unused penetrations that are currently on the roof. <br /> Mechanically attach new 22-gauge metal decking over any openings as per the <br /> manufacturer's specifications. <br /> Carpentry <br /> 12. Install additional lumber around mechanical curbs, and the perimeter to raise the <br /> existing heights as needed. This will be done to achieve the proper flashing <br /> heights the manufacturer requires due to the new insulation heights. <br /> Insulation <br /> 13. Clean and prepaze the existing surface as necessary removing all loose dirt dust, <br /> and debris. <br /> 14. Loose lay a single layer of 2.6"Polyisocyanurate Insulation over the prepazed <br /> surface in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. <br /> 15. Mechanically attach a second layer of 2.6"Polyisocyanurate Insulation over the <br /> prepared surface using approved fasteners and plates in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's specifications. All joints and seams of the insulation will be <br /> staggered and offset to minimize heat lose. *New R-value will be 30. <br /> 16. Mechanically attach a multiple layers of Tapered Polyisocyanurate Insulation to <br /> the high side of the mechanical units to ensure that water does not sit at the units. <br /> This will be done in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. <br /> Roofmg <br /> 17. Clean and prepare the existing surface as necessary removing all loose dirt, dust <br /> and debris. <br /> 18. Install R.P.F.S. (Reinforced Perimeter Fastening Strip)to all perimeters, <br /> projection flashings fastening every 12"on centers in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's specifications. <br /> 19. Install the Firestone Fully Adhered 60 Mil E.P.D.M. Roofing System over the <br /> prepared surface utilizing neoprene-based bonding adhesive in accordance with <br /> the manufacturer's specifications. <br /> 20. Fully encapsulate the pazapet walls with the new roofmg membrane. The <br /> membrane will extend over the perimeter wall and will be nailed off on the face <br /> of the nailer. <br /> 21. Seams will be overlapped a minimum of 4", cleaned with primer wash, and sealed <br /> with 3"butyl splice seam tape according to the manufacturer's specifications. <br />
