1.6 PROJECT CONDl1'IONS <br /> A. Field Measurements: Check actual door openings in construction work by accurate field <br /> measurement before fabrication. Show recorded measurements on fmal shop drawings. <br /> 1. Coordinate fabrication schedule with construction progress to avoid delay. Where <br /> necessary,proceed with fabrication without field measurements and coordinate <br /> fabrication tolerances to ensure proper fit of wood sliding glass door units. <br /> 1.7 WARRANTY <br /> A. Wood Sliding Glass Door Warranty: Submit a written warranty signed by the manufacturer, <br /> agreeing to repair or replace wood sliding glass door units that fail in materials or workmanship within <br /> the specified warranty period. Failures include,but are not necessarily limited to,the following: <br /> 1. Structural failures, including excessive deflection,excessive leakage,air infiltration,or <br /> failure of weatherstripping. <br /> 2. Faulty operation of movable panels or hardwaze. <br /> 3. Deterioration of inetals,finishes,and other materials beyond normal weathering. <br /> 4. Wazranty period for wood sliding glass doors is 3 years after the date of Substantial <br /> Completion. <br /> 5. This warranty shall not deprive the Owner of other rights or remedies that the Owner <br /> may have under other provisions of the Contract Documents and shall be in addition to <br /> and run concurrent with other warranties by the Contractor under requirements of the <br /> Contract Documents. <br /> PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 21 MANUFACTURERS <br /> A. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements,manufacturers offering <br /> wood sliding glass doors that may be incorporated in the Work include,but are not limited to,the <br /> following: <br /> B. Manufacturer: Subject to compliance with requirements,provide products by one of the <br /> following: <br /> a. Kolbe&Kolbe. <br /> b. Marvin Windows. <br /> c. Rolscreen Co./Pella. <br /> d. Andersen Corp. <br /> e. Ha�eld Windows <br /> f. Weathershield Corp. <br /> 2.2 MATERIALS <br /> A. General: Comply with requirements of NWWDA I.S.3. <br /> B. Wood: Clear Ponderosa Pine or another suitable fine-grained lumber,kiln-dried to a moisture <br /> content of 6 to 12 percent at time of fabrication,free from blue stain,knots,pitch pockets,and surface <br /> checks larger than 1/8 inch deep by 2 inches wide. <br /> 1.
