01600 MATERtAL AND EQUIPMENT <br /> General: <br /> Substitutions: Contract is based on the standards of quality established in the Coniract Documents. <br /> Substitutions will be consid�ed only when listed at the rime of bidding. <br /> Do not substitute materials,equipment,or methods unless such substitution has been approved <br /> specifically in writing by the Architect for this Work <br /> Where the phrase"or equal"occurs in the Contract Document�,do not assume that the materials, <br /> equipment,or other methods will be appnoved as equal unless the item has been specifically so approved <br /> for this Work by the Architect <br /> Product Handling:Comply with the manufacturer's recommendation on product handling,storage and <br /> protection.Deliver products to the job site in their original containers,with labels intact anci le�ible. All <br /> material shall be stored offthe sround„und�er waterproof en-closures.and awav from wet or dac�p <br /> surfaces. Maintain all finished surfaces clean and unmarred,and suitably protected until accepted by <br /> Owner. <br /> 0170(1 PROdECT CLOSEOUT <br /> General: <br /> When the various construction Work is within fifteen(15)days of completion,the various Contractors <br /> shall give written notice to the Architect of date of substantial compl�tion and ready for pre-final <br /> inspection. <br /> All$ubcontractors shall take action required to correct a�l deficiencies listed and when tbey have been <br /> completed,a final inspection will be made. <br /> Upon completion of final inspection the Architect can state that the project is complete,or if work <br /> remains that a sum,satisfactory to insure t�e performance of the work,be retained until completion. <br /> When project is approaching completion and final payment,a11 Sub-Contractors shall secure lien wavers <br /> in full for labor and material furnished from all suppliers. Inadequate,incomplete,or insufl3cient wavers <br /> shall constihrte cause for non-approval of final application for payments. <br /> Project record docnments: <br /> Throughout progress of the Work,each Contractor will maintain an accurate cecord of changes in the <br /> Contract Documents. Maintain one complete set of the Contract Documents on the Site,to be used only <br /> as the"Job Record Set". <br /> Do not use th�Job Record Set for any purpose other than to record changes occurring in the Contract <br /> Documents during th�progress of the Work. Make entries within 24 hours after receipt of information <br /> that the change has occurred.
