PAGE 1 <br /> ATTENDANCE 7 :00 P.M_ The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br /> following members present : Mayor Butler , Council- <br /> members Frahm and Hammerel. Councilmembers Grabek <br /> and Adamswere absent. City Administrator Benson was <br /> absent. Zoning Administrator Mabusth, Building <br /> Official Jacobs , Public Works Coordinator <br /> Gerhardson, and Recorder Sutton were present. City <br /> Attorney Radio and City Engineer Cook were present. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> TITLE I C.D.B.G_ FiJNDS <br /> 7 :00 - 7 :01 P.M. Mayor Butler announced that now was the time and place <br /> for the public hearing concerning the Community <br /> Development Block Grant (C.D. B.G. ) Year X funds . <br /> Building Official Jacobs noted the affidavit of <br /> publication. There wasno one presentin the audience <br /> for this public hearing. Mayor Butler closed the <br /> public hearing at 7 : 01 p.m. <br /> Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Hammerel seconded , <br /> to approve the allocation Year X C.D.B.G. funds in the <br /> amount of $29 , 730 for the rehabilitation of private <br /> single family properties. Motion, Ayes ( 3 ) , Nays <br /> (0 ) . <br /> CONSENT AGENDA* Councilmember Frahm moved, Mayor Butler seconded, to <br /> approve the Consent Agenda* subject to removing item <br /> #19for discussion, with all staff reports concerning <br /> items reviewed at this meeting to be attached to the <br /> original copy of these minutes on file in the City <br /> Clerk' s office. Motion, Ayes ( 3 ) , Nays ( 0 ) . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES* Councilmember Frahm moved, Mayor Butler seconded , to <br /> approve the minutes of March 12 , 1984 . Motion, Ayes <br /> (3 ) , Nays (0 ) . <br /> LARE MIIdNETONRA <br /> CONSERVATION DIST_ Jo Ellen Hurr was not present, therefore there was no <br /> report. <br /> POBLIC COMMENTS Councilmember Frahm asked staff why all these real <br /> estate signs are being picked up off the street. <br /> Frahm stated that the real estate offices should be <br /> notif ied of the sign ordinances and where they can pick <br /> up their signs. Frahm stated that the real estate <br /> signs are so small and really not a traffic hazard. <br /> Building Official Jacobs stated that signs are being <br /> placed in the middle of the medians and the road right <br /> of way, which are a traffic hazard. Jacobs stated <br /> that a letter was sent to real estate agencies <br /> notifying them of Orono' s sign ordinance. <br />
