REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL HELD MARCH 26, 1984. PAGE 2 <br /> Councilmember Frahm stated that it is difficult to <br /> find houses out in Orono if someone is not familiar <br /> with the area . Frahm stated that directional signs <br /> should be allowed. <br /> Mayor Butler suggested that this issue be placed on <br /> April 9, 1984 , Council agenda and for staff to consider <br /> a temporary sign permit and/or standards for <br /> directional signs . <br /> �807 HENNEPIN COUNTY <br /> 2600 WAYZATA BLVD. <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT Earl Johnson and Doug Smith were present. Zoning <br /> Administrator Mabusth stated that Hennepin County has <br /> agreed to meet the 2 acre minimum. <br /> Earl Johnson requested that Hennepin County not be <br /> subject to any fencing or walls in the City' s screening <br /> ordinance. <br /> Mayor Butler stated that the City would much rather see <br /> greenery landscaping rather than a fence or a wall . <br /> Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that the <br /> temporary access issue should be addressed . <br /> Mayor Butler stated that the access should align with <br /> the Orono Middle School ' s entrance. <br /> Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that the <br /> developer should be responsible for at least <br /> constructing a portion of the road until it serves the <br /> Hennepin County Library. Mabusth noted that it <br /> should not be a temporary access and that access to the <br /> library should be f rom another road. <br /> Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Hammerel seconded, <br /> to direct staff to draft a resolution approving a <br /> library use. Motion, Ayes ( 3 ) , Nays ( 0 ) . <br /> #812 ALAN McDOWELL <br /> 905 FERNDALE ROAD WEST <br /> VARIANCE <br /> RESOLUTION #1612 Bob Mitchell , McDowell ' s attorney, was present. <br /> Zoning Administrator noted the change in wording in <br /> theresolution. Mabusth noted that the applicant was <br /> trading off hardcover. <br /> Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Hammerel seconded, <br /> to approve Resolution #1612 , A Resolution Granting A <br /> Variance To Municipal Zoning Code Section 34 . 201 and <br /> 34 . 202 to permit the construction of an attached <br /> garage 58feetfrom the lakeshore. Motion, Ayes ( 3 ) , <br /> Nays (0 ) . <br />
