Councilrnember <br /> Hannah arrived at 7 : 02 P .M. Also present : City � <br /> Planner Olson, City Engineer Quincey, City Attorney <br /> Peterson, and City Clerk Strom. City Admir.istrator <br /> Benson arrived at 8 : 30 P.M. <br /> Ms . Diane Nelson, American Automobile Association, AAA AWARD <br /> was present to present a two-year pedestrian <br /> safety � award plaque to Mayor Van Nest and Acting <br /> Chief of Police Burmaster . <br /> Police Officers Kurt Erickson and Robert Fiscrier OFFICER ERICKSON <br /> were present for recognition for tneir part in OFFICER FISCHER <br /> saving the life of N�r . Sylvester R. Sotebeer <br /> who was struck by lightning on the Arcola Bridge <br /> on August 7, 1980 . <br /> Police Officer Bruce Anderson was present for OFFICER ANDERSON <br /> recognition of saving the life of an eighteen- <br /> month old boy from drowning in the family pool . <br /> Police Officer Charles Courtney was present for OFFICER COURTNEY <br /> recegnition for his emergency first-aid for a <br /> severe cut on a young lady ' s leg and transporting <br /> her to the hospital . <br /> Staff reports concerning items reviewed at this NEW FORMAT <br /> meeting are attached to the original copy ot these <br /> _ minutes on file in the City Clerk ' s office . <br /> Butler moved, Hurr seconded, to remove #9 from th2 CONSENT AGENDA* <br /> Consent Agenda* .
