To process this application, the City will <br /> require two sets of building plans, a certificate of survey showing the proposed addition and <br /> hardcover calculations. Problems noted during a site inspection must be addressed in your <br /> plans. They are as follows: <br /> 1) Pressure treated �umber required when joist is less than 18"from earth. <br /> 2) Siding must be a minimum of 6" from grade. <br /> 3) Show bearing of beams and rafters at house. <br /> 4) 2x6 rafters have been notched at wall reducing strength to that of a 2x4, 2x4 16 <br /> o.c. does not meet code for a 10' span. <br /> 5) Beam sizes must be verified. <br /> 6) Shingles are not allowed on pitch of less than 2:12. <br /> 7) Footing depth must be verified. <br /> Please submit two sets of building plans. Plans do not need to be drawn by an architect or <br /> draftsman. They can be hand drawn by you, as long as I can understand them. Since this is <br /> an after-the-fact application, the City must require you to submit the building plans and a <br /> certificate of survey and hardcover calculations before August 29, 1994. If this deadline is not <br /> met, the City may initiate legal action.
