(Xie parcel would consist of 4 acres which contains <br />existing dwelling. The second parcel would consist of 8 <br />arres which the Hennepin County Parx Reserve District was <br />considering purchasing. <br />Mr. Anderson, Hennepin Cointy Park Board, and Michael Qoutier <br />were present. Mrs. (kishnore, a neigH>or ui the west of this <br />property, was also present. Khrs. (Ashmore was concerned about <br />the maintenance of the Park Reserve property surrounding her <br />property. Mr. Anderson stated that grasses of an a^cultural <br />nature would be cut , but tiiat other weeds would continue to <br />grw in their natural state. The basic reason for purchasing <br />this property is to obtain additional property that is low <br />land for the preservation of the area. Mrs. (3ashmore was also <br />roncerned about the fact that Park Reserve property is taken off <br />the tax roll. She mentioned the fact that the Cointy has <br />imted wt some of tiie hoaes on these properties, some of which <br />have idiildren attending Orono schools. Mr. Anderson confirmed <br />fofo ’•RM stated that all these hoaies were outside Orono, but <br />were v^ii^in tin Orono Sdiool District. Ffe assured the Camission <br />that ad^but one of these hoaes would be vacated by Noveaber <br />1976. >3nfs» Cashaiore did not feel this was foir to the property <br />paying taxes and sending their childrei.« to <br />.Orono S;^iii0ols. Msaber McDonald asked Mr. Anderson what the <br />yll ing \tir^ce was for the property they planned to purdiase <br />frw Mr. vlf^^outier. Mr. Anderson felt this was private and <br />privilege!^ Informatim but to feel free to discuss it <br />privately Mr. Cloutier. Mrs. Caslnore then stated that <br />she had esipemssed an interest in this land and had approached <br />Ffr. Cloutier as to th? selling price. At that time, Mr. <br />Qoutier had mentioned $5,000. Mrs. Cashmoit: later found <br />out that thig^ .^ark Reserve had made .an offer.of $2,500. <br />The Zoning Aifolnistrator informed the Planning Gomtiission that <br />the City was i>.m^y CTnceroed about the proposM plat and land <br />use relatedvy^o the ro^g requirements. The Planning <br />Camission shm^ consider the proposal witii regard to con- <br />yfoiming wi'^ tlav zoning ordinance. Our zoning ordinance <br />addresses its&elt; only to land use, not to projected property <br />pur^ases.
