� CITY OF ORONO <br /> Regular P�eeting of the Orono Council, 7: 00 P.M. <br /> SepteMber 13, 1978 <br /> The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br /> follo�aing nembers present: Mayor Van Nest, Council- <br /> merlbers Paurus and Pesek. Councilnember Butler <br /> arrived at 7: 07 P.M. Council�ember Massengale <br /> arrived at 7: 10 P.P�. Also present: City Planner <br /> Olson, City Engineer Ol'son, Chief of Police Kilho, <br /> Public Works Coordinator Gerhardson, Finance � <br /> Director huehn, and Deputy Clerk StroM. Absent: <br /> City Administrator Benson. <br /> Mayor Van PJest announced that now was the tir�e and PUBLIC HEARIrdG <br /> place for the public hearing concerning the proposed Federal Revenue Sharing <br /> use of approxir�ately $33., 588 of Federal Revenue <br /> Sharing monies for Capital Outlay and Fire Service <br /> support within the General Fund proposed budqet <br /> of $1 , 145, 140. Mayor Van Nest presented the idotice <br /> of Public Hearing and the Affidavit of Publication. <br /> Mayor Van Nest inquired if anybody was present for <br /> the public hearing. P10 one was present. The <br /> minutes of the Proposed Use Public Hearing ��ere <br /> revie�aed. Action was delayed until later in the <br /> evening. The �ublic hearing was closed at 7: 05 P.M, <br /> Councilmember Butler arrived at 7: 07 P.M. <br /> Butler moved, Pesek seconded, to approve the CONSEPIT AGENDA* <br /> Consent Agenda*, except items 2 & 15, with all <br /> staff data and supportive inforrmation to be <br /> included in the r2inutes in the sequence they <br /> occur. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Butler rnoved, Paurus seconded, to approve the MINUTES <br /> P4inutes of the Regular Meeting of August 15, 1978 , � <br /> as amended. P�lotion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Councilmember Massengale arrived at 7: 10 P .P4. <br /> Mr. Lee Tomlinson, Chairman of the Orono Park PARK COMI��2ISSION COPu�iENT <br /> Commission, was present to review and discuss <br /> the minutes of the Park Corunission concerning <br /> the future of the City parks. The Cor•.trmission <br /> has rec�uested funds from the Park Fund for a <br /> professional planner to present a study for better <br /> utilization and developrient of the City park system. <br /> Mayor Van P1est explained that park fees are . <br /> collected at the time the land is being platted, <br /> according to State Statutes, and that the funds <br /> have been set aside to hold for use at a later <br /> date. <br /> (Continued) <br />
