{ <br />• ROLL CALL <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, October 24, 2011 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />The Orono City Council met on the above - mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Lili Tod McMillan and Council Members Cynthia Bremer, Aaron Printup, and David Rahn. <br />Representing Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus, Finance Director Ron Olson, City Clerk Lin <br />Vee, Assistant City Administrator of Long -Term Strategic Planning Michael Gaffron, Planning <br />Coordinator Melanie Curtis, City Attorney Soren Mattick, City Engineer Darren Amundsen, and <br />Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Mayor McMillan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Item No. 11 was added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*2. COUNCIL WORK SESSION OF OCTOBER 10, 2011 <br />• Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the minutes of the City Council Work Session of <br />October 10,2011, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4; Nays 0. <br />*3. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 10, 2011 <br />Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the minutes of the City Council meeting of October 10, <br />2011, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - 7:00 P.M. <br />4. CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITIES - RESOLUTION NO. 6085 <br />Olson stated each year the City certifies to the county all unpaid annual service charges for the septic <br />program, the unpaid recycling program fees, and all delinquent sewer and water accounts of $50.00 or <br />more. State statutes require the City hold a public hearing regarding the assessment of these fees prior to <br />certifying the assessment roll to the county. Notices of the public hearing have been sent to all delinquent <br />properties. <br />Mayor McMillan opened the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br />There were no public comments regarding,this item. <br />is Mayor McMillan closed the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br />Page 1 of 19 <br />
