N <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />• ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Tuesday, May 28, 2002 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor Barbara <br />Peterson; Council Members Bob Sansevere, Jay Nygard, Jim White, and Jim Murphy; City Attorney <br />Thomas Barrett; Representing staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, Planning Director Mike <br />Gaffron, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Kristi <br />Anderson. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M. <br />Mayor Peterson added an LMCD Report to the agenda, following the Planning Commission Report. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. Approve /Amend <br />Items 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, and 21 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />is Items 4, 5, and 17 were removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Vote: Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />RECOGNITION <br />2. Richard Flint, Council Member - Resolution No. 4816 <br />Nygard thanked Representative Flint for his openness and willingness to share advice. <br />White acknowledged Flint's unique ability to separate his professional life from his service to the <br />community and complimented him on his strong ethics politically and professionally. <br />Sansevere noted that his wisdom will be missed. He has been a strong leader for the Council and <br />Park Commission. <br />Murphy stated that Flint gave a great perspective to the City and Council. His passion for parks <br />and trails are an inspiration. <br />Mayor Peterson joined the others in honoring Flint adding what a privilege it has been to serve with <br />• him. She stated that Flint offered the City a great deal of integrity and an added sense of humor. <br />Page I of 16 <br />
