PUBLIC HEARING <br />VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission, 7:30 P.M. <br />June 16, 1969 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above date <br />with the following members present: Chairman <br />Russell, Nicholls, and O'Malley. Dongosko <br />arrived at 8:15 P.M. Absent: Bartig and <br />McCarthy. <br />Chairman Russell asked if anybody wished to <br />be heard in the matter of a variance in <br />usage of property at 3885 North Shore Drive, <br />legal. Section 17, Plat 4020. Since nobody <br />came forth, he made a motion that the past <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission be <br />again recommended; namely, that the residence <br />on the property be removed and the entire <br />property be a permitted use for storing his <br />cement products. <br />Russell moved, Nicholls seconded, that the <br />variance be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br />Roger Reed, Ray McEwan, and Harr/ Nelson <br />represented the Tonka Corporation in <br />presenting pictures and site plans for a <br />truck terminal for storage and repair of <br />their fleet of trucks. Since this is a <br />permitted use in the I zone, <br />Russell moved, O'Malley seconded, that the <br />usage be allowed. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) <br />Earl Holtcamp reopened an application for a <br />division denied him last year for his <br />property at 3805 North Shore Drive. Ho <br />explained he bought the property in good <br />faith, that he was told that it was a one- <br />acre site and dividable, only to find that <br />the one acre included 33' of right-of-way. <br />Also, that due to the long frontage, sewer <br />assessments vnre high for a single lot. <br />Russell moved, Nicholls seconded, that the <br />division be allowed in view of the above anJ <br />due to the fact that the lot was only 6,000 <br />square feet short of the requirements for the <br />division, and that there were sewer services <br />available. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0). <br />Andrew Miner presented his plat for a <br />proposed division of his property at <br />3830 Baysidc Road, Lot S3, Aud. Sub. 203, <br />Parcel 6400.
