VILLAGE OF ORONO <br /> Regular P�ieeting of the Park Commission, 8:00 P.M. <br /> October 15, 1974 <br /> The Park Commission met on the above date with <br /> the following members present: Chairman Opheim, <br /> Berglund, Burns, Hallowell, Kubalsky, and <br /> Oberhauser. Absent: Leipold, Panuska, <br /> Peasley, and Wysocky. Also present: Helen <br /> Toward and Diane Dunlap representing the North <br /> Shore Gymnastics Association and Brian Peterson <br /> Woody Grandstaff, Walter Lathrop, representing <br /> the Long Lake Skip Drifters Club. <br /> The P�inutes of the September 17, 1974 meeting MINUTES <br /> were read and approved. <br /> Ophei.m reported that the Larson property is in LARSON PARK PROPERTY <br /> the final stages of acquisition. The low land Filling <br /> is being filled with sewer digging. This will <br /> then be levelled and covered with black dirt <br /> that has been scraped off and saved. <br /> Opheim read a letter he had written to the LARSON PARK PROPERTY <br /> Orono Lions Club informing them about the Orono Lions Club <br /> ',arson property and inquiring if they had an <br /> interest in helping to furnish facilities for <br /> this park. <br /> It has been suggested that fill might also CASCO CIRCLE PARK FILL <br /> be added to the south side of the Casco Circle <br /> park in order to create a larger play area. <br /> The Council passed a resolution to apply for the TAX DELIN�UENT PROPERTY <br /> wedge of property north of the Luce Line Trail 115 Stubbs Bay Road S. <br /> and ajoining the Larson property as it has <br /> become tax delinquent. <br /> At the recommendation of the Council, a letter SNOWMOBILES <br /> was written to the DNR inquiring about the use Luce Line Trail <br /> of the Luce Line Trail west of the Stubbs <br /> Bay Road. Particular reference was made to <br /> the use of snowmobiles, <br /> The money for land acquisition for 1975 has BUDGET CUT - 1975 <br /> been cut from $19,500 to $12,500. <br />
