CITY OF ORONO <br />Public Hearing before Plainrilin§ Commission, 7:30 P.M. <br />July 29, 1974 <br />The Planning Commission met bn the above date <br />with the following members present: Chairman <br />pro tem Kullberg, Curtis, Gasch, Hake, Kallestad, <br />Pesdk, and Van Nest.- Elliott arrived at 8:15 P.M. <br />Absent: Chairman Guthrie. Also present: Council- <br />man Paurus, Engineer Willis Gilliard; representing <br />DiCon: Messrs. Dickey, Lynch, and Jarvis. <br />Mr. Lynch, representing DiCon, opened the meeting PUBLIC HEARING <br />showing a series of sketches indicating that DiCon - Farview <br />there were 57 acres in the subdivision along <br />with 750' of shoreline on Maxwell Bay. The <br />sketches showed lot and road configurations, <br />slope analysis, green area and a drainage <br />pattern, showing 100% drainage into Maxwell <br />Bay. Proposed is: 19 lots with a minimum of <br />two acres, one outlot on the lake proposed <br />for a recreation area and one 8h acre lot <br />encompassing the original estate residence. <br />Mr. Lynch then presented another drainage plan <br />whereby there would be a 16% diversion of <br />draiAwater to French Lake via a.culvert across <br />the proposed entrance to the property at County <br />oad #84 and along County Road #84 to French Lake. <br />It also reflected a storm drain to remove excess <br />water from the marsh near the Old Crystal Bay <br />Road access to the marsh near the lake. Another <br />sketch showed a new configuration of lots to <br />allow the road servicing the property to skirt <br />the marsh near Old Crystal Bay Road instead of <br />the original proposal to go through it.' <br />At this time, Chairman Kullberg opened the hearing <br />to the public. The following people spoke: <br />Mr. DeLessops asked hoar the 16% water deflected MR. DE LESSOPS <br />to French Lake would*get* there. Mr. Lynch <br />showed the drainage plan indicating the drainage <br />would go along County Road #84. Mr. DeLessops <br />stated that there already is a drainage problem <br />on his property caused by water coming down <br />County Road #84, and'felt another 16% drainwater <br />diverted from this property would increase the <br />problem. <br />The problem�on' their property is similar to NANCY KALLESTAD <br />Mr. DeLessops. <br />,.nce he owned an adjacent property, he also F.C.
