MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Tuesday,March 19,2019 <br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br /> Dennis Walsh, City Council Members Richard Crosby, III, Matt Johnson,and Victoria Seals. <br /> Representing Staff were City Administrator Dustin Rief, Finance Director Ron Olson, Development <br /> Director Jeremy Barnhart,and Public Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards. <br /> Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF MARCH 11,2019 <br /> 2. CLAIMS/BILLS <br /> 3. APPROVAL OF RENTAL LICENSES <br /> 4. 2019 STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br /> 5. POST OFFICE ROOF REPLACEMENT <br /> 6. APPOINTMENT OF 2019 SEASONAL EMPLOYEES <br /> 7. LA18-000035—RYAN HASSE,NICOLE SPECK AND GARY JOHNSON,3800 <br /> SHORELINE DRIVE,CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND SITE PLAN REVIEW— <br /> RESOLUTION NO.6960 <br /> Crosby moved,Seals seconded,to approve the Consent Agenda as submitted. <br /> VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER REPORT <br /> 8. 2019 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECT—AWARD <br /> Edwards stated Staff did solicit and received four bids for the City's 2019 road maintenance projects. The <br /> low bidder was GMH Construction in the amount of$1,201,238.67. In addition to the construction cost, <br /> Bolton and Menk provided a not-to-exceed proposal for$185,000 for construction oversight. <br /> When the City went out for bids, it broke the bid into Part A and Part B. Part A consisted of Forest Arms <br /> Lane,Tonka View,and Chevy Chase. Part B consisted of simply East Long Lake as a bid alternate. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
