Councilmen Butler and Massengale absent. <br /> � Paurus moved, Welsh seconded, that the MINUTES <br /> � �Iinutes of the Regular Meeting of April 8, <br /> 1975, be approved. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br /> • <br /> � The Mayor announced at 7:33 P,rs, that this PUBLIC HEARING <br /> • was the time and place for the scheduled Highwood Water Petition <br /> public hearing on the Highwood water petition. <br /> � The Village Administrator presented the Public <br /> Hearing Notice as follows: Notice is hereby <br /> � given that the City Council of Orono will meet <br /> in the Council chambers of the City Hall at <br /> � 7e30 P.M. on April 22, 1975 to consider the <br /> � making of an improvement on County Road #19, <br /> North Arm Drive, North Shore Drive and Highwood <br /> � Road, by constructing and extending a watermain <br /> with hydrants to serve the abutting property, <br /> ypursuant to Minn. Statutes, Secs. 429.011 to <br /> 429. 11I (Laws 1953, Ch. 398, as amended) . The <br /> � area propased to be assessed for such improvement <br /> is the property abutting on such roadse The <br /> r estimated cost of such improvement is $57,750.00. <br /> � Such persons as desire to be heard with reference <br /> � to the proposed improvement will be heard at <br /> this meeting. <br /> • . <br /> The village Administrator also presented the <br /> � Affidavit of Publication and the Certificate <br /> • of Mailing. <br /> � The Orono Engineer presented projector slides <br /> to the public hearing showing engineering <br /> � estimated costs on a front foot basis, a unit <br /> basis, an estimated 50' and 100' lot assessment <br /> � cost and an overall assessed estimated cost of <br /> $57,750 for the total project. <br /> � After hearing from twenty residents from the <br /> Highwood area presenting their views in regard <br /> � to the water petition, the Mayor announced that <br /> the hearing was closed at 7:59 PoM. and announced <br /> that the Highwood water petition will be entered <br /> �on the May 13, 1975 agenda for Council consideration. <br /> • <br /> � <br />
