5288.1 7 <br />1988 BOARD OF REVIEW <br />APRIL 27, 1988 <br />The 1988 Board of Review as called to order by Mayor Grabek at <br />7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The following Councilmembers <br />were present; Gotten,.Sime, Peterson and Callahan. Also present <br />were City Administrator Bernhardson, City Assessors Rolf <br />Erickson, David Wilde and Rita Guderian, City Clerk Hallin and <br />Glen Busitzky representing the County Assessor's office. <br />Mr. Erickson provided a tape /slide presentation for the audience <br />that described the Assessor's function and the process involved <br />in arriving at the market value of property. <br />Mayor Grabek asked Mr. Erickson to briefly make comments <br />regarding the market values in the City of Orono and answered <br />general questions from the audience. Mr. Erickson stated to the <br />Mayor and Council that he did not bring all the property records <br />to the meeting. In addition he stated that there were still some <br />property owners he was unable to contact before tonight's meeting <br />because of the large number of persons who had contacted him <br />• requesting revaluations. He suggested that the Council instruct <br />him to review the property of persons appearing before the Board <br />tonight and that this review be br -ought back to a reconvened <br />meeting of the Board. <br />The following persons appeared before the Board: <br />1. Dan and Jeanne Kelly, 860 Windjammer Lane <br />P.I.D. 07- 117 -23 11 0011. Mr. Kelly stated he was one of <br />the persons that Mr. Erickson was unable to contact before <br />the Board meeting and he still wanted the revaluation. <br />Council directed the Assessor to review this property. <br />2. <br />Gary and Barb Schauer, 4195 Highwood Road <br />P.I.D. 07- 117 -23 44 0022. Mr. Schauer stated that his <br />1988 valuation -had been reduced to $155,900 by Rita, but he <br />- <br />felt the neighboring property was a detriment to his <br />property. Council directed the Assessor to review this <br />property., <br />3. <br />Charles Affias, 1404 Baldur Park Road <br />P.I.D. 08- 117 -23 34 0022. Mr. Affias requested a <br />revaluation of his property. Council directed the Assessor <br />to review this property. <br />4. <br />Winslow Mankin, 2560 Old Beach Road <br />P.I.D. 21- 117 -23 22 0010. Mr. Mankin requested a <br />. <br />revaluation. Council directed the Assessor to review this <br />property. <br />5. <br />Kenton Carlson, 3498 North Shore Drive and 3490 North Shore <br />Drive <br />1 <br />
