V <br />k{ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO.COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 24, 1986 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 PM <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Acting Mayor Adams, <br />Councilmembers Frahm and Grabek. Mayor Butler and <br />Councilmember Hammerel were absent. the following <br />represented the City staff: City Administrator <br />Bernhardson, Public Works Coordinator Gerhardson, <br />Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, Assistant <br />Zoning Administrator Gaffron, and City Recorder <br />Peterson. City Attorney Blatz was also present. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Grabek, to approve the Consent Agenda* <br />subject to removal of Items #7A (1986 Joint Use Dock <br />License, Forest Arms Country Club Addition Homeowners <br />Association) and #18 (Letter of Authority). Motion, <br />Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Grabek, to approve the Minutes from the <br />February 10, 1986 regular Council meeting. Motion, Ayes <br />• 3, Nays 0. <br />PARR COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />ORONO GOLF COURSE <br />Barb Peterson and Phil Bradley were present to represent <br />the Park Commission. <br />Acting Mayor Adams explained that the Council requested <br />the Park Commission to review the Orono Golf Course and <br />submit their recommendations regarding its future. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reviewed the Park <br />Commission's opinions and facts as listed in the Park <br />Commission minutes of January 26, 1986. <br />Barb Peterson stated that the Commission did not get as <br />much information as they would have liked. She stated <br />that the Commission would suggest some ammendments to <br />the Community Management Plan. <br />Acting Mayor Adams stated that he would like the Park <br />Commission to look at additional uses other than golf. <br />Councilmember Grabek stated that he would like the Park <br />Commission to consider the long range upgrade plan. <br />Barb Peterson stated that the Park Commission will <br />initiate a full study at their next meeting. <br />1 <br />
