Orono Council met on the above date with the following members present: Acting Mayor Adams, Councilmembers Grabek, Frahm, and Hammerel. Mayor Butler was absent. The following represented the City staff: City Administrator Bernhardson, Public works Coordinator Gerhardson, Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron, Chief Kilbo, and City Recorder Peterson. City Attorney Tom Barrett was also present. City Administrator Bernhardson requested that Item #17 (Zoning Application #992 - City of Orono) be removed from the Consent Agenda. Tt was moved by C Frahm, seconded by C Hammerel, to approve the Consent Agenda* as amended. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES* It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by Counci 1 member Hammerel, to apprc e the Minutes of the regular Council meeting on Decem.. er 9, 1985. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. OATH OF OFFICE It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the Minutes of the special Council meeting on December 23, 1985. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. City Administrator Bernhardson administered the Oath of Office to n,.�,-'y appointed Police Officers Brian Patrick Clark and :a- Leroy Cornick Jr. PARK COMM1SSTON CONKENTS There were no comments from the Park Commission. LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT REPORT: LAKE. MINNETONKA USE AND ACCESS - JON ELAM City Administrator Bernhardson introduced Jon Elam, currently Director Administration with the Metropolitan Council. Mr. Elam was representing the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District regarding commit.tment of parking slots in relationship to the 1983 Task Force. City Administrator Bernhardson noted per his memo that the Metro Council currently has a task force studying the issue and additionally the DNR has purchased au access at Kings Point and are looking at others in the area. 1
