VILLAGE OF OROMO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Conmission, <br />October 15» 1973 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Cnairman Paurus, Guthrie, Searles, and Van <br />Nest, Elliott arrived at 8:05 P.M Gasch <br />and Hays left at 11:02 P.M. Absent; Kokesh. <br />Kullberg, and Ryerse. <br />7:42 P.M. <br />Searles moved, Guthrie seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 17, <br />1973, be approved. Motion, Ayes (6) - Ways (0), <br />MINUTES <br />Searles moved, Guthrie seconded, that the <br />Wayzata Country Club's request for a rezoning, <br />variance, and a PRD, be denied on the following <br />grounds: <br />1. The proposed density would be inconsistent <br />with the surrounding neighborhood. <br />2. Access for the development would not be <br />possible from the east because of the Village <br />Wetlands Ordinance and because of the <br />incompatibility of increased traffic on <br />Ferndale Green, which is a minor road. <br />1^ Motion, Ayes (S) - Nays (0). <br />A variance of 2* from the 10' side yard <br />setback requirement is requested for the <br />construction of a three-car garage. Tne <br />applicant claims that because of the high <br />water table on the lot, it is impossible to <br />construct a basement; therefore, a three-car <br />garage is necessary. <br />Van Nest moved, Guthrie seconded, that a <br />variance be allowed because of the soil <br />conditions, the lack of objection on tite part <br />of the adjoining property owner, and due to <br />the size of the request. Motion, Ayes (6) - <br />Ways (0). <br />REZONING, VARIANCE § P <br />Wayzata Country Club <br />VARIANCE <br />27S0 Shadywood Road <br />Van Nest moved, Searles seconded, that although <br />the subdivision of Lot 49, Aud. Sub. 203, meets <br />the existing and proposed zoning requirements <br />for this area, tne approval of this plat should <br />be witJiheld until it aas been determined that <br />tliis area will definitely be sewered. In addition, <br />an open space easement should be obtained for <br />the lakesnore property. <br />DIVISION <br />3640 Bayside Road
