The white plastic car port that has been placed on the property is not allowed by <br /> the City. It does not conform to any type of standard in the International Building Code, <br /> which the City of Orono enforces, for anchoring, snow load, wind shear and etc.. Due to <br /> its size it would also require a building permit as per the City's Zoning Ordinance. Since <br /> it does not conform to the building code the City cannot issue a permit. I realize that may <br /> seem a bit confusing and I apologize for that. <br /> But,the short of it is that I must ask you to remove the car port from the property by May <br /> 17, 2006.
