Corrective measures will be required in order to support a second floor addition as <br /> follows (the sub letters match the above-described conditions}: <br /> a. Excavate to footing. Underpin footing to provide 2 foot wide footing continuous. <br /> Reinforce 8" masonry foundation wall with #S vertical @ 32" fil{ed with grout at <br /> reinforcing. <br /> b,c,d. Excavate and provide underpinning to frost depth of 42" 2 feet wide if load <br /> bearing. If not load bearing, no corrective measures are required. <br /> e,i,j. No repairs are required. <br /> f,g,h Underpin with 2 foot wide footing to frost depth of 42". <br /> 10. General corrective measures include: <br /> a. Regrading to pravide positive drainage away from foundation walls the entire <br /> perimeter of house. <br /> b. Ensure that grade is at least 8" below top of foundation. <br /> 11. A beam column system will be needed along the street sicle entrance wall to carry load <br /> from the second floor. Conective measures will not be needed along this watl. A <br /> column and column footing will need to be installed near the center of the span for <br /> support (in the vicinity of the cistern}. <br /> 12. A cistern was discovered under the street side entrance with severe erosion creating a <br /> large cavity outside as well as the interior of the cistern. This cistern should be filled <br /> with coarse granular material for safety reasans. <br /> 13. These corrective measures are general in nature but adeyuate for estimating purposes to <br /> get the pro}ect started. <br /> 14. 3.H.
