ICROFILMED NO. 1697 <br /> ORONO <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION <br /> TO RURAL SEWAGE TREATMENT POLICY NO. 7 <br /> OF ORONO'S COMPREHENSIVE SEWER POLICY . <br /> PERMITTING ONE SEWER CONNECTION FOR PROPOSED LOT <br /> LOCATED AT 1200 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, in 1980 the Council of the City of Orono <br /> (hereafter "City" ) adopted the Orono Community Management Plan, <br /> Chapter 6 of that plan, entittled the Comprehensive Sewer Policy <br /> Plan , set forth the City's many policies in dealing with future <br /> development of the rural and urban areas of the City, defining <br /> the urban service area of the City and the Metropolitan Sewer <br /> - Service Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 26, 1984 the Breckenridge <br /> Development Corporation (hereafter "applicant ' ) filed a <br /> subdivision application with the City involving a lot split of a <br /> rural property legally described as Tract C, R.L.S. No. 1467 <br /> (hereafter "property") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant prior to the filing of the <br /> subdivision application formally requested of the MWCC a single <br /> sewer connection to an existing metro gravity line for the newly <br /> created rural lot; and <br /> WHEREAS, per the directive of the MWCC the City Council <br /> has considered the applicant 's request for a permit for a sewer <br /> connection to a metro sewer line to serve a rural property <br /> located outside the Metropolitan Sewer Service Area, the <br /> recomendation of the Planning Commission and the comments of the <br /> applicant. . <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br /> the City of Orono hereby approves a special exception to <br /> Comprehensive Sewer Plan, Rural Sewage Treatment Policy No. 7 to <br /> allow a single sewer connection to an existing metro sewer line <br /> for a 2 + acre rural lot proposed -by the Breckenridge Development <br /> Corporation because the following findings can be made: <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
