Some of the figures listed here reference ray memorandum of December 2, 1996 which lists all calculations. I. Exiting The builchng as designed provides the required exit width to exit the entire occupant load associated with off-season uses; however, UBC requires 4 exits from spaces with occupant loads over 1000. Iwo exits must be a minimum of 1/2 of the overall diagonal distance of the ice sheet apart. The remaining two exits must be arranged a "reasonable distance apart so that if one becomes bl poked the others will be available." ( JBC 1003.3) The tota. exit width required for the ice sheet area with 1034 occ. x 0.2 206.8" The solrtion is as follows: I. 10'-0' opening in dasher boards @ zamboni access with exiting through north double doors 2. 6'-0" opening in dasher boards 0 southeast corner of rink with exiting through "player entrance".The player entrance doors will be revised from a single door to a 6'-0" double door. 3. 6'-0" opening in dasher boards C southwest corner of rink with exiting through 4 doors into lobby.Architect will design 6'-0" wide portable stair assembly to allow access from rink lrvel to lobby level. 4. 3'-0" c pening in northwest corner of rink with exiting up north bleacher stair to west exit.
